Description
Ink starts sharp: black pepper, green cardamom and the bitter oil of grapefruit peel. Then frankincense rises through it, clean and resinous, with a kola nut accord adding a dry, bitter edge and violet leaf keeping it from getting heavy. It dries down to vetiver, labdanum and dry cedar, the smell of a wooden room after the candles are out. It is dark without being sweet.
